GamerTemple.com is now TeamBot.org
Posted by maver1ck on 03-23-2010

I have been informed that GamerTemple.com will be staying active, but our sponsor has decided to move in a slightly different direction, and is now taking TeamBot.org to the next level.  TeamBot is an IRC bot that helps teams find matches easily in QuakeLive and will soon be expanding to other games.  Please check it out, and if you want to give it a test, come by #smf on irc.gamesurge.net.

TeamBot.org has also provided Suave Gaming with a brand new Bad Company 2 server, this server is a 16 slot server for 8v8 conquest that is public, but we will also be using it for scrims and such when we need it. If you want to find the server, the easiest way is to search for "Suave" sometimes is takes a few tries, but it's out there, I promise.  Huge thanks to Skillasaur and TeamBot.org for the server, and for all the recent support.

Suave Wins NGL Quake Live Tourney & Takes #1 on GGL
Posted by syncore on 03-01-2010

Two weeks ago, on February 14, Suave Gaming took the number 1 spot on the GGL's QuakeLive 4v4 CA (PC) AGP Ladder. The QuakeLive team is currently undefeated and boasts a 9 game winning streak. In securing the top spot on the ladder, the team defeated and took bragging rights away from the self-proclaimed "Number 1 QuakeLive Team in North America," Finesse Gaming. Hopefully no sponsors were lost as a result of the game's outcome. Kidding. In other news, Suave Gaming recently won season 1 of the National Gaming League's 4v4 CA tournament.  The team defeated clan =TOP= in an exciting double-header match, 2-0, 2-0. We anticipate season 2 of the NGL's tournament as well as continued success on GGL.

Battlefield: Bad Company 2
Posted by damage on 01-25-2010

Suave Gaming will be focusing more towards Battlefield Bad Company 2 (that is if there is a competitive edge to it) with the release of the BFBC2 beta this week.  In other news, Suave Quake Live is unstoppable :).  Thank you and goodnight.

Suave vs qM
Posted by maver1ck on 01-11-2010

Suave wins over qM in QuakeLive CA 4v4.  Everyone played well after our 4 month break from playing a match.  Hopefully we can light some fires on this ladder.

Suave Gaming update
Posted by maver1ck on 01-02-2010

I have started work on putting together a team for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 with the help of Dromare.  We have a bunch of good players so we are going to try to get in to the TWL league shortly.  Since the game is lacking in all aspects of competitiveness it's hard to get in to the game seriously, but we are going to give it a shot and hopefully in the upcoming months IW will make some changes and there will be some kind of update that will bring the game back to the competitive main stream, because honestly it is a fun game, it just lacks certain features.

We are planning on getting heavily in to Battlefield: Bad Company 2 for the 4v4 5v5 infantry ladders, but that will be a couple months away.  If MW2 still sucks for competition at that time, then I doubt we will continue playing it seriously.  With the lack of dedicated servers and a pro mod, it makes the game cheesy and slightly annoying in a public setting.

Suave Quake Live has been getting slower and slower it seems, the community has gotten really small, there are some 2v2 tournaments coming up that we are involved in, but other than that it's pretty dead.  I still expect a slight upturn in competition some time this year, but I doubt it will be very great.  If Suave wants to continue to compete in Quake, it may have to be in the form of a CTF team, which has never worked out very well for us in the past.

I wish everyone a happy New Year, I hope it's a wonderful year for you all.

Suave updates...
Posted by syncore on 11-22-2009

Not much is new in the gaming world. Updates within smf...hmm, let's see... Canada Assassin has since parted ways with the clan, and United states infrared now plays in matches. United states Devious and United states demex recently won a 2v2 NGL QL tournament. Speaking of matches, we just played our first QuakeLive match in exactly two months to the day, against romp and stomp (ras.) Apparently the match was scheduled on the same day it was to be played, so naturally we had a hard time getting four together with such short notice. Anyway, after waiting over 20 minutes to get the match started, we were victorious. smf > ras 2-0, ggs. Who knows when our next match will be but we forward to it.

Funny moments captured in screen shots, just for you.

Infamous talking shit about smf should really come as no surprise to anyone, he has always been mad that he couldn't put together a team to beat us, and that we wouldn't let him in smf.  I'm the leader of smf and I'm not a great player but I know enough not to +forward LG the whole game. You must really want people to think you are good when you talk shit to smf in pubs.  Try staying in a clan for more than one week, then you might actually have a chance of gaining some teamwork.

"but smf faggots" - Not even a complete thought, but we don't recruit fags, which is why you didn't make it in.
"spook sucks" - LoL, u need some LG lessons?
"infrared sucks" - We know, but hes still kicking your ass in pubs.
"dragaox sucks" - He just got back, how do you know.

demex is the only good one in smf?  Your nose is dirty, been following too close?  Not sure how that will make the smf B and C team feel after raping every team you have ever been on 10-0.

This is classic, we are fags, and we spam nades, which honestly I don't know that I know of any other way to shoot them.  I guess we could all take lessons on accurate nade shooting from syncore.

(@infrared_) the last one i had like 80+ damage he had like 50.. the next map he actually tried and still had like 50 to my 90, and rage quit

This made me lol, I know I'm not great, but this dude wanted in smf sooo bad.

smf takes NGL 2v2 CA tourney

Congrats go to demex and devious for knocking out nsd in the 2v2 CA finals taking first place over all.

News time!
Posted by maver1ck on 08-26-2009

The Quake Live scene is kind of slow right now as everyone recovers from Quakecon and recent ladders ending.  Things should start up again pretty soon.

Head over to our sponsor page and check out www.gamertemple.com.  Check out the SuaveGaming group, join and support the community!  Big thanks to GamerTemple.com for providing SuaveGaming with a vent server as well as a CoD4 server.

Help us in welcoming smf>>thefilipino to the Quake Live team.

We are still very active in scrims and on pubs, so if you are interested in a scrim, or just want to play with the legends themselves check us out at #smf on irc.gamesurge.net.

I was reprimanded for my previous posts and I'm forced to say sorry.

I'd personally like to apologize for being unprofessional with my previous news posts.  It was wrong of me.

Misconception
Posted by sean1x on 08-11-2009

Again, it appears someone feels they are a top tier clan.

A true challenge

I was informed that apparently smf is struggling to defeat this clan.  I was unaware..  ggs

Suave Gaming Adds Two

Please welcome two new players to smf.

Canadasmf>> Assassin

With the new players joining, we hope to expand our gaming organization even more by adding CTF and TDM to our line of game types in QuakeLive.

Upcoming events
Posted by Alaric on 06-17-2009

We have some big matches coming up. On Sunday June 21, we have a match against the west coast team United states Pipeline for the NGL lower bracket quarterfinals. We're still working on scheduling an exact match time. This past week we had a BYE in the QuakeNight 4v4 tournament, but next week on Wednesday (June 24) we have a match against United states focus27 for week three of the tournament. Finally, we have QuakeNight matches every Wednesday night from now until the beginning of August. On match nights be sure to stop by our IRC channel on GameSurge (#smf) because some of the matches might be covered by QLTV or Gamefire.

We would like to present the release of the fourth version of the Suave Gaming website. You can look forward to the team demos, results, and other information will be posted on this site on a regular basis. Be sure to register and post in our forums. If you find any bugs on the site be sure to let us know either by posting in the forum or on IRC (#smf on irc.gamesurge.net). We hope you enjoy the new site.
