Call of Duty: Black Ops has been released, as I'm sure you're all aware. More info about smf's plans (if any) will follow sometime soon. However, I wanted to share with you my FPS configs which are designed to increase your performance -- especially for those of you on pretty old hardware. I've also included some configs in the .zip that try to balance FPS without reducing graphics too much. Some people have reported up to 70 fps boosts, others have actually had no or worse performance with these. Who knows, this game is so poorly optimized that the results will be difficult to predict from one system to the next.
Anyway, check out the Call of Duty: Black Ops configs at: http://www.syncore.org/bo_fps_cfg.zip
Suave Gaming now has an official YouTube channel! Rate, comment and subscribe!
I have been informed that GamerTemple.com will be staying active, but our sponsor has decided to move in a slightly different direction, and is now taking TeamBot.org to the next level. TeamBot is an IRC bot that helps teams find matches easily in QuakeLive and will soon be expanding to other games. Please check it out, and if you want to give it a test, come by #smf on irc.gamesurge.net.
TeamBot.org has also provided Suave Gaming with a brand new Bad Company 2 server, this server is a 16 slot server for 8v8 conquest that is public, but we will also be using it for scrims and such when we need it. If you want to find the server, the easiest way is to search for "Suave" sometimes is takes a few tries, but it's out there, I promise. Huge thanks to Skillasaur and TeamBot.org for the server, and for all the recent support.
Two weeks ago, on February 14, Suave Gaming took the number 1 spot on the GGL's QuakeLive 4v4 CA (PC) AGP Ladder. The QuakeLive team is currently undefeated and boasts a 9 game winning streak. In securing the top spot on the ladder, the team defeated and took bragging rights away from the self-proclaimed "Number 1 QuakeLive Team in North America," Finesse Gaming. Hopefully no sponsors were lost as a result of the game's outcome. Kidding. In other news, Suave Gaming recently won season 1 of the National Gaming League's 4v4 CA tournament. The team defeated clan =TOP= in an exciting double-header match, 2-0, 2-0. We anticipate season 2 of the NGL's tournament as well as continued success on GGL.

Suave wins over qM in QuakeLive CA 4v4. Everyone played well after our 4 month break from playing a match. Hopefully we can light some fires on this ladder.

Respect is a two way street.
Not much is new in the gaming world. Updates within smf...hmm, let's see...
Assassin has since parted ways with the clan, and
infrared now plays in matches.
Devious and
demex recently won a 2v2 NGL QL tournament. Speaking of matches, we just played our first QuakeLive match in exactly two months to the day, against romp and stomp (ras.) Apparently the match was scheduled on the same day it was to be played, so naturally we had a hard time getting four together with such short notice. Anyway, after waiting over 20 minutes to get the match started, we were victorious. smf > ras 2-0, ggs. Who knows when our next match will be but we forward to it.
Congrats go to demex and devious for knocking out nsd in the 2v2 CA finals taking first place over all.
The Quake Live scene is kind of slow right now as everyone recovers from Quakecon and recent ladders ending. Things should start up again pretty soon.
Head over to our sponsor page and check out www.gamertemple.com. Check out the SuaveGaming group, join and support the community! Big thanks to GamerTemple.com for providing SuaveGaming with a vent server as well as a CoD4 server.
Help us in welcoming smf>>thefilipino to the Quake Live team.
We are still very active in scrims and on pubs, so if you are interested in a scrim, or just want to play with the legends themselves check us out at #smf on irc.gamesurge.net.
Please welcome two new players to smf.
smf>> Assassin
smf>> devious
With the new players joining, we hope to expand our gaming organization even more by adding CTF and TDM to our line of game types in QuakeLive.

We would like to announce the launch of the new site. I would like the extend thanks to syncore for all the time he put in to messing with the old site, and building this new one. Everything looks great!
We have some big matches coming up. On Sunday June 21, we have a match against the west coast team
Pipeline for the NGL lower bracket quarterfinals. We're still working on scheduling an exact match time. This past week we had a BYE in the QuakeNight 4v4 tournament, but next week on Wednesday (June 24) we have a match against
focus27 for week three of the tournament. Finally, we have QuakeNight matches every Wednesday night from now until the beginning of August. On match nights be sure to stop by our IRC channel on GameSurge (#smf) because some of the matches might be covered by QLTV or Gamefire.
We would like to present the release of the fourth version of the Suave Gaming website. It has been several years since the release of version 3.0 of the clan's site and over two years since the clan has had a functional website. You can look forward to the team demos, results, and other information will be posted on this site on a regular basis. Be sure to register and post in our forums. If you find any bugs on the site be sure to let us know either by posting in the forum or on IRC (#smf on irc.gamesurge.net). We hope you enjoy the new site.
